Shan E Khalsa Academy prides itself on providing interactive classes to teach the fundamentals of the Punjabi language. This includes the incredible Gurmukhi alphabet and the trends that exist in its structure. As students excel in both the spoken and written forms of the alphabet, they are moved on to subsequent levels focusing on word formation and sentence structure. Since many Punjabi-speaking parents often complain that their children only speak English and that they refuse to learn their mother language, students are also strongly encouraged to practice reading Punjabi (ex: Sikh history books and Gurbani) and speaking Punjabi with their parents and friends.
Our Punjabi class is a pre-requisite for admission into the Gurbani Santhiya class because students need to have a good grasp of the written language and pronunciation before they can successfully benefit from Santhiya.
